Secure communication

To stay in contact with each other you need a secure service to protect your sensitive information. Nowadays many Nationalists use Telegram for their day to day communication, which is unfortunately not secure. Telegram is by default not end-to-end encrypted, it requires a phone number for sign-up and collects loads of metadata. We recommend anyone still using the service for their day to day communication to switch over to a better service as soon as possible. In this article we will list some very good alternatives for Telegram and talk about e-mail.

Instant messengers

Below are a few good secure messengers to use, instead of insecure services like Telegram, WhatsApp and Snapchat.

SimpleX

SimpleX is an instant messenger that doesn’t use unique identifiers like usernames or phone numbers. It supports group chats and end-to-end encrypted calls.

Signal

Signal is probably one of the most well know secure instant messengers. It does have one big flaw though; it requires a phone number for sign-up. The phone number can be hidden by creating a username and under privacy settings you can set the phone number to be visible to nobody. We recommend to only use this service if you are able to buy a sim card anonymously.

Briar

Briar is a completely decentralized instant messenger that uses the Tor-network. With Briar, communication via Bluetooth or Wifi is also possible. There are a few things to keep in mind with this platform though: there is no Apple and voice-call support and your phone doesn’t receive messages when it is turned off.

E-mail

E-mail is not a secure method of communication. It uses very insecure protocols and therefore cannot be used with the discussion of sensitive information. The only way to communicate with e-mail in a secure manner is with an encryption tool like PGP. You can learn more about PGP by watching this video.

In the case you do need to use e-mail for communication we recommend the following e-mail providers:

Proton Mail

Proton Mail is a Swiss based e-mail provider that has a free plan. The paid plan can be paid with Monero, Bitcoin and cash. Proton Mail has one big upside; it has end to end encryption for e-mails between Proton users.

Tuta

Tuta is a German based e-mail provider that has a free plan. To anonymously upgrade to a paid plan you can use ProxyStore to buy a gift card for Tuta and pay with cash, Monero and Bitcoin.
